Crowley Congratulates Gillibrand on Selection as Next U.S. Senator from New York

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Joseph Crowley (D-Queens, the Bronx) released the following statement to congratulate Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand on her selection today as the next U.S. Senator from New York:

“I heartily congratulate Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand on her selection today as the next U.S. Senator from New York. We are facing increasingly hard times and the people of New York State will depend on her first-rate work-ethic, enthusiasm and commitment to help see them through this crisis.

“While we will miss the counsel of our dear friend and former Senator, Secretary Hillary Clinton, I am confident that Congresswoman Gillibrand will be a valuable advocate for New York State.
