Buchanan Calls For Lower Taxes And Less Spending To Grow The Economy PDF Print

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Vern Buchanan issued the following statement today regarding a disappointing labor report that shows the U.S. economy lost 95,000 jobs in the month of September, while unemployment remained at 9.6 percent.

“Today’s jobless numbers are further evidence that higher taxes, more regulations, and ballooning deficits are not the answer to grow our economy,” said Buchanan. “We need to stop these job-killing policies and end the uncertainty that has kept job creators from investing in our economy. That means less spending and extending the tax cuts so that small business and working families can keep more of their hard earned money to invest in the economy and put Americans back to work.”
