Seeks Input On Jobs, Economy and Health Care

North Port, Florida -- Congressman Vern Buchanan (FL-13) announced today that he will hold a town hall meeting on jobs, the economy and health care in North Port on Saturday, May 15, 2010.

“Jobs and the economy are the most important issue,” said Buchanan. “Congress needs to focus our efforts now on putting people back to work. I want to listen to the people and get their feedback, ideas and suggestions. I also welcome input on the sweeping health care bill recently passed by Congress and signed by the President.”

This is the seventh in a series of town meetings Buchanan will hold throughout the district this year to give his constituents a chance to express their views on federal issues.

Buchanan's town meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the North Port Commission Chambers - 4970 City Hall Boulevard, North Port, Florida. (Map attached below) The doors will open at 10:00 a.m.
