Seeks Input on Jobs, Economy and Health care

Longboat Key, Florida -- Congressman Vern Buchanan (FL-13) announced today that he will hold a town hall meeting on jobs, the economy and health care in Longboat Key on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010.

“We need to create jobs and restore economic growth,” said Buchanan. “We also need to make health care more affordable without raising taxes or expanding government control. I want to listen to the people and get their ideas and suggestions.”

This is the first in a series of town meetings Buchanan will hold throughout the district this year to give his constituents a chance to express their views on federal issues.

Buchanan's town meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Longboat Key Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Rd, Longboat Key, FL 34228.
