GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS AND FINANCIAL REFORMS IN NIGERIA


Committee on Financial Services: Subcommittee on International Monetary Policy and Trade held a hearing entitled ``The Global Financial Crisis and Financial Reforms in Nigeria.'' Testimony was heard from the following officials of Nigeria: Lamido Sanusi, Governor, Central Bank; and Arunma Oteh, Director General, SEC; and a public witness.

Committee on Standards of Official Conduct: Adjudicatory Subcommittee met in executive session to conclude hearings in the Matter of Representative Charles B. Rangel, to determine whether any counts in the Statement of Alleged Violation have been proven by clear and convincing evidence.
The Adjudicatory Subcommittee found eleven of the thirteen counts in the Statement of Alleged Violation regarding Representative Rangel proven by clear and convincing evidence.
The full Committee will hold a sanction hearing on the Matter of Representative Charles B. Rangel on Thursday November 18, 2010.
