The Chair ruled that the resolution offered by Representative Price (GA) did not constitute a question of the privileges of the House. Subsequently, Representative Price (GA) appealed the ruling of the chair and Representative Polis moved to table the appeal. FAA Air Transportation Modernization and Safety Improvement Act:
The House concurred in the Senate amendment to the House amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R. 1586, to modernize the air traffic control system, improve the safety, reliability, and availability of transportation by air in the United States, provide for modernization of the air traffic control system, reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration, by a yea-and-nay vote of 247 yeas to 161 nays, Roll No. 518.

After the transaction of any morning business (not to extend beyond 3:30 p.m.), Senate will begin consideration of the nomination of Jane Stranch, of Tennessee, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit, and after a period of debate, vote on confirmation of the nomination at 5:30 p.m. Also, the filing deadline for all first-degree amendments to H.R. 5297 and Reid (for Baucus/Landrieu) Amendment No. 4594, Small Business Lending Fund Act, will be at 3 p.m.
