American Recovery and Reinvestment Act--Conference Report: By 60 yeas to 38 nays (Vote No. 64), Senate agreed to the conference report to accompany H.R. 1, making supplemental appropriations for job preservation and creation, infrastructure investment, energy efficiency and science, assistance to the unemployed, and State and local fiscal stabilization, for fiscal year ending September 30, 2009.

By 60 yeas to 38 nays (Vote No. 63), three-fifths of those Senators duly chosen and sworn having voted in the affirmative, Senate agreed to the motion to waive Section 204(a) of S. Con. Res. 21, FY08 Congressional Budget Resolution, with respect to Section 5(a) of the conference report. Subsequently, a point of order that the emergency designation provision in the conference report was in violation of section 204(a) of S. Con. Res. 21, FY08 Congressional Budget Resolution, was not sustained.
