Linder Named “Guardian of Small Business” by National Federation of Independent Business

(1/1/2007)
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has named John Linder a “Guardian of Small Business” for his votes in support of American businesses and the economy. He has received the award for continuing a strong record of legislative support for the interests of small and independent business owners. John understands that small, family-owned businesses are the backbone of this nation, and he plans to continue to support legislation that gets the federal government off the backs of small business owners and allows them to pursue the American Dream. The NFIB represents more than 600,000 small and independent business owners nationwide, and about 10,000 in Georgia. “Guardian of Small Business” Awards are given only to Members of Congress whose voting records are in line with the NFIB’s pro-small business viewpoint, including legislation in support of tax relief, the repeal of the death tax, regulatory relief, and tax-free medical savings accounts.
