Linder Awarded “Guardian of Worker Freedom” from the Alliance for Worker Freedom
(6/26/2008)The Alliance for Worker Freedom's Guardian of Worker Freedom Award is an annual award given each year to members of Congress that stand up against Big Labor and protect the rights of workers. As our nation grows and worker migration is on the rise, it is essential to not only recognize those that vote in favor of protecting employee freedom and workers rights, but in doing so, send an example to those who did not receive an award that voting to give more power to Big Labor and take away workers rights is the wrong direction. Using our Congressional Ratings, which tabulate each key vote on issues dealing with labor, employee rights, and wages, the Guardian of Worker Freedom Award is given to only those in Congress who have voted 80 percent of the time, or higher, to side with workers and against Big Labor.
