Washington DC – On Tuesday, October 19, 2010 Representative Steve Rothman (D-NJ) along with Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ), and many other elected officials attended a labor rally with hundreds of union members to support the construction of the ARC Tunnel. They called on Governor Chris Christie to work with New Jersey’s federal, state, and local leaders to find a fiscally responsible way to move this vital project forward. “This is an important project because the ARC Tunnel will provide increased capacity to our aging and overburdened transportation infrastructure, create jobs, help New Jersey’s businesses, and improve the quality of life for our region. It will not only make our lives and economy better today, but this is an investment that will continue to pay off for generations to come,” said Rep. Rothman. ### |
