Washington, DC – On July 29, 2010, Representative Steve Rothman (NJ-9) met with the members of Agudath Israel of America at Agudath Israel’s visit to the Hill. Agudath Israel of America, a national Orthodox Jewish organization, thanked Rep. Rothman for his leadership in strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship and standing up for the Jewish State of Israel. In particular, they thanked Rep. Rothman for using his key role on the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee to secure more funding than ever before for joint U.S.-Israel missile defense programs, as well as Israel’s Iron Dome system, and for being an important supporter of foreign aid to Israel on the House Appropriations Foreign Operations Subcommittee.
