Washington, DC – On Tuesday June 8, 2010, Congressman Steve Rothman (D-NJ) welcomed three Saddle Brook Middle School students who earned first place in the national NASA/ USA Today Competition to Washington, DC to congratulate them. The team – Jenna DiRito, Elka Chowdhury, and Neil Motwani (the fourth member, Kristine Baltazar, was not able to attend) – shared a portion of their award-winning presentation on material sciences with Congressman Rothman. The full presentation was selected as the top submission out of 16,000 applicants from across the country. The students were accompanied by their teacher, Mrs. Marilyn Hamot Ryan, and their parents.
