Washington, DC -- On May 24, 2010, Congressman Steve Rothman, a member of the House Appropriations Committee, announced the $85,000 in federal funds he secured to upgrade the Ridgefield Park Police Department’s patrol car video technology.
“It is a privilege to have secured $85,000 in federal funds to improve and replace equipment for the Ridgefield Park Police Department. These federal funds will upgrade the police department’s patrol car video cameras to a digital-based technology,” said Congressman Rothman. “This advancement will enhance patrol activities, ensure the accurate recording of responses to reported incidents, expedite apprehensions, achieve unchallenged judicial outcomes, and generally reduce crime. It was the Ridgefield Park Police Department’s top priority. And every federal dollar we bring for important local projects like this one is one less dollar local property tax payers have to take out of their pocket.”
