Read Across America: Congressman Rothman Reads with Students at Roosevelt Elementary School |

On March 2, 2010, Roosevelt Elementary School in Hawthorne, NJ, welcomed Congressman Steve Rothman (D-NJ) to join their first grade class as part of the National Education Association’s (NEA) Read Across America program. Congressman Rothman read Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax to students and spoke with them about the importance and fun of reading. Now in its 13th year, Read Across America raises awareness on how important it is to motivate children to develop the skills they will need to reach their full potential and succeed in their future endeavors.
