(Washington, DC) – Today, Congressman Steve Rothman (D-NJ) congratulated five local students for placing as Finalists and Semifinalists in this year’s Intel Science Talent Search (STS). This search is America’s most prestigious science competition for high school seniors. Alumni from STS hold more than 100 of the world's most coveted science and math honors, including seven Nobel Prizes and three National Medals of Science.
“Congratulations to all of the Finalists and Semifinalists for this year’s Intel Science Talent Search, especially to those five who go to school in our Congressional District. These future leaders in science and math are essential to the success of the United States in the global competition of the 21st century,” said Congressman Rothman. “I am proud of the achievements of these aspiring scientists and I look forward to their contributions to the future of New Jersey and our nation.”
