Emergency Operations Center

City of Alexandria
301 King Street
Alexandria, VA 22314

$1,000,000

The City of Alexandria requests $1.0 million (or 25 percent of the total cost) to establish a dedicated Emergency Operations Center (EOC) within an available City facility. Preliminary plans call for a nearly 8,700 square foot modern EOC, with appropriate state-of-the-art technology. When a disaster or major emergency occurs, City staff members now spend several hours setting up a temporary EOC at the Fire Department’s Professional Development Center, using valuable time and resources that should be directed to planning and response efforts.
