Relief for Homeowners in the Financial Reform Bill
The new law will also include an Emergency Homeowners Relief Fund that will provide emergency relief from foreclosure for those with a proven history of working and paying their mortgage. This program is modeled after Pennsylvania's Homeowners' Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program that has provided 41,400 homeowners with over $433 million in emergency mortgage assistance since 1984.
