  • H.R. 860 (Bordallo), A bill to reauthorize the Coral Reef Conservation Act of 2000, and for other purposes.  "Coral Reef Conservation Act Reauthorization and Enhancement Amendments of 2009"
  • H.R. 934 (Sablan), A bill to convey certain submerged lands to the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands in order to give that territory the same benefits in its submerged lands as Guam, the Virgin Islands, and American Samoa have in their submerged lands.
  • H.R. 1385 (Moran), A bill to extend Federal recognition to the Chickahominy Indian Tribe, the Chickahominy Indian Tribe-Eastern Division, the Upper Mattaponi Tribe, the Rappahannock Tribe, Inc., the Monacan Indian Nation, and the Nansemond Indian Tribe.  "Thomasina E. Jordan Indian Tribes of Virginia Federal Recognition Act of 2009

COMMITTEE ACTION:

The Committee on Natural Resources met in open markup session on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, and considered the following bills:

H.R. 31 (McIntyre), A bill to provide for the recognition of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, and for other purposes.  "Lumbee Recognition Act"

An en bloc amendment offered by Mr. Rahall was AGREED TO by voice vote.

Favorably reported to the House of Representatives, as amended, by voice vote.

H.R. 1385 (J. Moran), A bill to extend Federal recognition to the Chickahominy Indian Tribe, the Chickahominy Indian Tribe-Eastern Division, the Upper Mattaponi Tribe, the Rappahannock Tribe, Inc., the Monacan Indian Nation, and the Nansemond Indian Tribe.  "Thomasina E. Jordan Indian Tribes of Virginia Federal Recognition Act of 2009"
