Republican Health Care Plans:
Congress should repeal the tax hikes, Medicare cuts, and expensive mandates in the health care law. Republicans want to replace those provisions with commonsense alternatives that reduce the cost of health care by:
  • Allowing small businesses to pool resources to purchase health insurance for employees
  • Purchasing health insurance across state lines to increase competition
  • Reducing junk lawsuits against doctors
  • Expanding Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)
  • Preventing waste, fraud, and abuse
  • Emphasizing wellness and prevention
  • Making sure no one is denied or loses his or her health insurance because of a pre-existing condition
