Appropriations

As we are all aware, Alaska has unique needs that set it apart from other states. The majority of our lands are federally owned, and as a relatively new state, we have not seen the federal investment in infrastructure that occurred in the Lower 48 decades ago. As a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, Sen. Murkowski has the opportunity to help direct resources to projects and programs that promote economic development in our state and will lead to measurable improvements in the health, education, and safety of Alaskans. Sen. Murkowski invites you to take a look at the requests that she has submitted to the Committee on Appropriations for funding in the upcoming fiscal year. In addition, the map below will provide you with information on projects that the senator has helped to fund in past years.

Previous Appropriations

Above is a map of our State with blue dots representing project funds Sen. Murkowski helped secure for Alaska since 2002. The row of dots on the bottom of the map are funds that benefited the whole state, while the rest of the dots are placed over the communities and areas that benefited the most from the funds. The senator invites you to click on these dots to find more details on each project.
