"As I travel around the state, the number one issue Utahns want to talk about is health care. We are currently facing a health care crisis in this country where a large percentage of Americans do not have access to affordable, quality health care. We must tackle this pressing and critical issue, but do so in a way that drives down costs and does not expand the government."

Health Care Reform

On November 21, 2009, Senator Bob Bennett voted against proceeding to the Senate Democrats health care plan. On Christmas Eve 2009, during an historic vote, he also voted against the Democrats health care bill. Bennett says the Senate Democrats' bill will increase premiums, raise taxes and cut Medicare.
