The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was signed into law on February 17th, 2009  to save and create jobs, provide tax relief to the middle class and invest in critical domestic priorities such as health care, infrastructure, education and clean energy.  As of July 17th over $230 billion had been made available, via direct obligations and tax relief.
