Rep. Waxman has voted for every bill considered on the House floor to bring our troops home from Iraq and looks forward to realizing that goal under the leadership of President Obama. As the senior Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Rep. Waxman conducted a number of investigations into the Bush Administration’s failed policies in Iraq. His efforts included inquiries into the misuse of intelligence to make the case for war, poor planning and care for troops on the ground, wasteful spending in Iraq reconstruction programs, and the overall absence of accountability and transparency that contributed to waste, fraud, and abuse.
