District Concerns - FBI Building

Rep. Waxman successfully fought against the General Services Administration’s (GSA) proposal to expand the federally-owned property at 11000 Wilshire Boulevard for the Los Angeles FBI office. He was concerned about flaws in GSA's Draft Environmental Impact Statement, which used faulty analysis and incomplete data, and did not address significant safety and quality of life concerns. Rep. Waxman brought these flaws and omissions to the attention of GSA, which led the agency to consider alternative and more suitable sites for the Los Angeles FBI headquarters.
