Need Help With A Federal Agency? PDF Print

An important part of Congresswoman Sanchez's job is helping residents of California's 47th Congressional District navigate the complex federal agency system. Her office may be able to assist if you are having trouble working with the Social Security Administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the IRS, or any other federal agency.

While Congresswoman Sanchez cannot force a federal agency to act in her constituents' favor, she can help facilitate the process and is sometimes able to advocate for favorable outcomes. Please be aware that Members of Congress cannot intervene with criminal or civil legal cases because of the separation of the legislative and judicial branches of government. Individuals with concerns regarding these issues should consider contacting the Justice Department.

Under the Privacy Act of 1974, individuals are required to complete and sign a Privacy Request Form before elected officials can provide assistance with their cases. Please print out the Privacy Request Form, complete it, sign it, and mail it to:

                Attn: Casework Request

                12397 Lewis Street, Suite 101
