TIBERI NAMED TO GOP MAJORITY TRANSITION TEAM
22-Member Panel To Lay Groundwork For New Congress
Washington,
Nov 8 -
U.S. Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-OH) today announced his participation on the GOP Majority Transition Team. The 22-member panel will be chaired by U.S. Congressman Greg Walden (R-OR) and will work to seamlessly transition to the new Republican Majority in the 112th Congress so members will be able to immediately begin addressing the priorities of the American people.
“I am honored to be appointed to this panel,” said Congressman Tiberi. “I look forward to working with my colleagues to address the concerns and needs of people across the country. We have pledged to run the House differently, not just differently from Democrats, but differently from previous Republican majorities. The groundwork for those changes will begin with this team.”
The Majority Transition Team has been tasked with implementing reforms outlined in the Pledge to America and identifying new ways to ensure Congress is more transparent, cost-effective and accountable to the people.
