Reviving Our Economy

We need a comprehensive approach to get our economy back on track and to create jobs. Some in Washington believe this can best be achieved by passing massive new spending and creating new government programs. If the borrow and spend approach works to restore the economy, it will be the first time in history, because this approach has never worked. For more concerns about the stimulus program put forward and passed by liberals in the Congress click here.

I believe that best and most efficient way to get our economy back on track is by lowering the tax burden on families and businesses. By leaving this money in your pocket and with local businesses rather is a much better approach to spurring economic growth and job creation than sending it to Washington in the hopes that some government bureaucracy will do a better job of spending your money. I believe you know better what your family needs are. Also, businesses can decide what equipment to purchase, where to expand and which new jobs to create.

That is why I have cosponsored legislation that lowers taxes on individuals, families and American businesses. Click here for to view a summary. Let’s not forget that it’s small businesses, not government, that is the engine that drives America’s economy, creating up to 70% of new jobs.
