FY 2011 Appropriations Requests |
Appropriations Project Requests
Overview
There has been a lot of interest in the federal appropriations process, and in an effort to promote unprecedented government transparency Congress and the Appropriations Committee, of which I am a member, have asked that all earmark project requests be placed online accessible to the public.
When accepting project requests, my office considered projects that have community support as well as provide a widespread benefit to constituents of the 23rd District of Texas, our communities, State and Nation. The types of projects I requested funding for in Fiscal Year 2011 support community development and aim to make our communities better, safer places to live and work. I am requesting funding for projects that support an investment in water and transportation, energy and environment, agriculture and health care, education and workforce, military construction and research.
This year, all requests for funding will be made on behalf of local governments and non-profit organizations. For information about the projects I requested funding for in Fiscal Year 2011, click on the related bill. The agencies with jurisdiction within each bill are listed below.
