The Affordable Care Act is designed to put you, not the health insurance companies, back in charge of your health care.  The Patient’s Bill of Rights in the Affordable Care Act will stop the worst insurance company abuses.  These new protections go into effect for health plan years beginning on or after September 23, 2010.
