Congressman Royce congratulates Victoria McGrath of Fullerton for winning Royce's seventh annual Congressional High School Art Competition. McGrath, a senior at Fullerton Union High School, demonstrated her artistic talents with a photograph she took while on a trip to Peru.

The Congressional High School Art Competition is an opportunity to showcase the talents of the many creative high school students in Orange County. All local high school students are encouraged to submit their favorite piece of artwork for the competition. The contest is a part of a nationwide Congressional High School Art Competition sponsored by the Congressional Arts Caucus. The winning piece of art from Royce's district joins winners from other Congressional districts around the country and is displayed in the Cannon House Office Building Tunnel, a high-traffic pedestrian walkway leading to the United States Capitol Building. Click here to view last year's artwork now hanging in the tunnel.

Courtesy of Southwest Airlines, winners are provided complimentary airfare to fly to Washington, D.C. to see their art displayed in the Capitol Building during an unveiling ceremony in June. In addition, my office is more than happy to assist in arranging a variety of tours for the winner and his/her parents, including a meeting with me in my Washington DC office. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact Royce's office at (714) 744-4130.

Please be sure to use the following links for a list of rules regarding the contest. Artwork that does not comply with the rules, is submitted after the deadline and is not submitted with the proper forms will not be accepted.
