White House Tours

NOTE: Please be advised that White House tour request procedure is currently undergoing significant changes. Until a full, new procedure has been released, please continue to observe the below procedure, and feel free to call our office regarding tours at (202) 225 2011.

Please be advised that there is always a high volume of requests and White House tours are not guaranteed. All White House Tour requests must be made at least one and a half months in advance and can be made up to 6 months in advance. It is recommended that you make the request as early as possible for the greatest chance to be assigned a tour, as tours are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. These self-guided tours are available from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Fridays, and 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturdays (excluding federal holidays). Tours are not offered on Sunday and Monday.  Please be advised that times cannot be requested, they are assigned by the White House Visitors Office.

Capitol Tours

If you are interested in a tour of the Capitol Building, please visit: www.visitthecapitol.gov and click on ‘Book a Tour’ on the top right hand side to book a tour yourself online. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for assistance with booking your tour of the Capitol.  Capitol Tours are available from 8:50am until 3:20pm from Monday through Saturday.

House and Senate Galleries

To visit the Gallery for the House of Representatives or the Senate, please visit our office at 1022 Longworth House Office Building in Washington, DC. We are located across the street from the Capitol Building. Capitol South is the closest Metro Station. Please be advised that the Galleries are closed on weekends.

Library of Congress

If you are interested in visiting the Library of Congress, it is open to the public from 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday through Saturday.  Walk-in public tours are available.  Our office can also request tours for constituents on a first-come, first serve basis.  If you would like to request a Library of Congress tour reservation through our office, please email the following information to our office at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
