Philly VA Plans Forum for Women Veterans

  • The Philadelphia VA Medical Center will hold the first in a series of forums for women Veterans, where health care professionals can learn firsthand the unique needs of this growing population.
  • The first Women Veterans Focus Group is Friday, Aug. 27, from 1 to 2:30 pm in the LVA Auditorium.  Feedback from the session will be instrumental in strengthening and adding programs in the Women Veterans Health Center.  Forum organizers plan to serve refreshments and ask women Veterans to spread the word and bring a friend.
  • Philadelphia VA Medical Center, located at 3900 Woodland Ave. in West Philadelphia, opened its first dedicated women’s clinic in 1993 and opened a new, expanded clinic for women Veterans in spring 2010.  Women’s health services are also available at the Philadelphia VA’s community outpatient clinics.  More information is available at www.philadelphia.va.gov.
