Presidential Greeting Requests

The White House sends official greetings from President Obama for those celebrating an 80th Birthday (or higher) or 50th Wedding Anniversary (or higher) or those earning the Boy Scouts’ Eagle Award or Girl Scouts’ Gold Award.

Please note the following requirements before submitting your request:

  • Submit your request three to five weeks before the date of the event
  • The White House will not send a greeting after the event has taken place (for example, you cannot submit a birthday request in February if your birthday was January 1)
  • Greetings are sent directly from the White House
