A high-quality education is critical for our children's future, and is key to America succeeding in the global market. As a Member of the Education and Labor Committee, I will address the important issues like early learning and the rising cost of college. America also needs to provide more incentives to attract students into science and technology.

No Child Left Behind (NCLB)

More regulation, particularly at the federal level, does not equal better education. The best educational system is one directed by parents, teachers and local school boards - not bureaucrats in Washington. As we consider NCLB, we should work to maintain accountability, school choice and innovation while rewarding excellence and innovation in our schools.
