My Biography

Dave's Biography provides information on his personal history and how his experiences growing up have shaped his convictions and priorities in the work he does in Congress today.  It also provides you with information on his legislative experience and legislative priorities.

Committee Assignment

Dave's primary legislative and policy responsibilities arise from his role as Chairman of the Appropriations Committee.  Government budgets are not just accounting documents that reveal our values as a nation; over time they have a tremendous influence on the opportunities that are provided for America's working families.  It is Dave's privilege to be Chairman of the Committee that makes many of those key decisions.  This section will describe his role as Chairman of the Appropriations Committee as well as what the Appropriations Committee does.
