Lummis Elected to Influential House Republican Steering Committee

U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) was elected Wednesday to the influential U.S. House Republican Steering Committee, giving the people of Wyoming a greater voice in Congress.
The Republican House Steering Committee is in charge of selecting full committee and subcommittee chairmen as well as committee membership for the 112th Congress.
Lummis released the following statement:
“It is a great honor to be elected to serve on the House Republican Steering Committee. Serving as the unofficial ‘board of directors’ of House Republicans, I will have a voice in the manner in which the Republican Congress conducts business. I look forward to working with Speaker-elect Boehner and the rest of the committee to implement the priorities of the people of Wyoming and those of all Americans. It certainly is a privilege.”
