Tours

US Capitol.jpg

Thank you for your interest in my Washington, DC tour program.  No other city in the United States can help us to better appreciate our history, who we are today, and the path our country will take into the future. I encourage my constituents to come see the many museums, monuments, and memorials housed in this exciting city to have a deeper appreciation for our country and its evolution.

My office is happy to assist you in making advance reservations for many popular attractions. Below are the tours that my office can schedule on your behalf to make your trip more enjoyable. To request any of these tours please fill out the Tour Request Form. Tickets for all tours are limited, so I cannot guarantee that all tours will be available. We will do our best to accommodate your requests however, Congressional tours fill up quickly. If this does occur, please note that, with the exception of the White House and Pentagon, all the places of interest listed below offer public tours as well.

The White House - These self-guided tours of the East Wing are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Typically, we have found that only tour requests that are submitted six months in advance will be scheduled by the White House, although they do allow requests to be made as late as 35 days in advance.

The U.S. Capitol - The Capitol is a symbol of the American people and their government, the meeting place of the nation's legislature. The Capitol also houses an important collection of American art, and is an architectural achievement in its own right. Please request at least 35 days in advance.

The Library of Congress - Professional guides tell the story of the Library by talking about its history, its collections, symbolic art and architecture, and the services provided to Congress and the nation. Reservations are made on a first-come, first served basis and normally fill up one to two months in advance. Limited to groups of 15 or less.

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing - The BEP is responsible for the design, engraving and printing of all U.S. paper currency. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis and should be made three months in advance. Limited to groups of 10 or less.

Supreme Court - When the Court is not in session, you can tour the building and attend a lecture in the courtroom about Court procedure and the building's architecture. Please request at least two months in advance. Limited to groups of 6 or less.

Kennedy Center for Performing Arts - The tour highlights the historic events that led up to the establishment of a national cultural center, as well as an interactive exhibit on the life and presidency of John F. Kennedy.

Pentagon - Each tour includes an overview of the Department of Defense and each of its branches, and visits numerous displays that highlight and depict significant moments in military history. Requests must be submitted at least 35 days in advance.

I also highly recommend visiting the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. The Museum is filled with exhibits that confront hatred, promote human dignity, and work to prevent genocide. Admission is free, however advance tickets may be needed depending on the season. For more information about planning your visit to the Museum, please click here.

Be advised that most reservations are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, so we cannot guarantee reservations for all tours. Please submit your request as far in advance as possible.

Although my staff is always available to assist you, if you need further information, the House of Representatives Visitor Information website is another great resource. Enjoy your visit to our nation's capital!
