Van Hollen Statement in Honor of Veterans Day

Today Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen issued the following statement in honor of Veterans Day:
“Today we pay tribute to the valor, sacrifice, and incomparable commitment that America’s veterans have shown in their service to our nation. These brave men and women have fought – and many gave their lives – to protect our freedom, and we must do everything we can to honor their sacrifice.
“That must not only happen today, but every day. People of every political persuasion can agree on the importance of providing for our troops, veterans, and their families. Congress has made unparalleled investments in our veterans, helping to ensure that they have access to the very best health care, the chance to receive a quality education, and the opportunity to start and grow their own businesses. I will continue to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to keep the promises we have made to them.”
