Each Spring, the United States House of Representatives sponsors an art competition for high school students.  The winning entry from Maryland's Eighth Congressional District will be displayed in the United States Capitol alongside artwork from every congressional district across the country.  I will host an Arts Celebration and Awards Reception at the Mansion at Strathmore on Monday, April 26, 2010 to honor all participants.  All high school students who reside or attend school in the Eighth Congressional District are encouraged to participate.

Participation forms should be faxed (301-424-5992) to my District Office by Friday, April 9, 2010.  

Artwork is submitted on Friday, April 16th and Saturday morning, April 17th; judging begins Saturday, April 17th at 11:30 a.m. 

The Art Exhibit will be at the Mansion at Strathmore from April 21 - May 15, 2010.
