November 30, 2010- “I’m hopeful that we’re going to hear from the president a willingness to reflect what the people spoke on Nov. 2, and that is, ‘Stop it,’” House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.), who is counting the days until he takes over as majority leader, told POLITICO. “Stop the policy agenda you’ve been about over the last 20 months, and let’s go about seeing if we can return to a situation where we can see some [economic] growth prospects again,” he warned Obama.
- “The unified Republican position is that we don’t believe tax rates should go up on anybody when you’ve got so much unemployment and unwillingness and uncertainty surrounding the investment environment right now,” Cantor told POLITICO.
