Congressman Kingston is a member of the House Appropriations Committee which directs federal spending.  As a member of this committee, Congressman Kingston has fought to rein in federal spending and ensure that your hard earned tax dollars are spent responsibly.

  • Ranking Member, Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies
    • This subcommittee oversees the Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration. Federal agency budgets housed under these departments deal with food and nutrition programs, food and drug safety, foreign food aid, research and education, rural development, conservation and related issues.
  • Member, Subcommittee on Defense
    • The Subcommittee on Defense oversees the Department of Defense and the government's efforts to defend our nation against attack, support our troops in the field, and maintain our military's competitive advantage.
