Veterans

American government and the American people owe a debt of gratitude to our nation's veterans. Without their sacrifices, we would not enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Congressman McCotter is committed to honoring and helping our nation's veterans, and he is happy to help you resolve issues with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  If you are having a problem resolving a claim for benefits from the VA, obtaining a decoration or award you earned during your service, or involving any other service or benefit, Congressman McCotter’s office may be able to help.

According to the Privacy Act of 1974, in order for Congressman McCotter to assist you, written authorization is needed.  Please complete the Casework Authorization Form and return it to Congressman McCotter's office.

The benefit programs administered by the VA include compensation payment for disabilities or death related to military service, pensions, education and rehabilitation, home loan guaranty, burial, and a medical care program incorporating nursing homes, clinics, and medical centers.

A more comprehensive list of resources for services and benefits available are listed on this page, which may be helpful in your search.  If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact my office.
