(Washington, DC) - Congressman Baron Hill announced a grant today for the French Lick Board of Aviation Commissioners to make improvements to the French Lick Municipal Airport. 

The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded the French Lick Board of Aviation Commissioners $1,640,063.00 to extend the parallel taxiway at French Lick Municipal Airport.  According to a release issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation, the taxiway extension will eliminate the need for aircraft to taxi on the runway. 

“I am very pleased the French Lick Airport has received this grant,” Hill said.  “With increased economic activity in recent years with the reopening of the world-class resorts, this funding will help improve the infrastructure of the airport and will help bring new jobs and economic growth to Orange County.”
