Jim serves on two important committees: the House Armed Services Committee and the House Committee on Agriculture.

Within the House Armed Services Committee, Jim is a member of the Readiness, Air and Land Forces, and Terrorism, Unconventional Threats and Capabilities subcommittees. Visit the House Armed Services Committee website for more information.

The House Committee on Agriculture works to maintain policies which assure a safe, abundant and affordable food supply. Jim is a member of the Subcommittee on General Farm Commodities and Risk Management and the Subcommittee on Specialty Crops and Foreign Agriculture Programs. Jim has also served on the the House Committee on Financial Services. The House Committee on Financial Services oversees the nation’s financial sector, including banking, insurance, real estate and securities. The Committee also has jurisdiction over housing issues. Jim served on the Capital Markets, Insurance and Government Sponsored Enterprises and Domestic and International Monetary Policy, Trade and Technology Subcommittees.
