Congressman Geoff Davis : Serving Kentucky's Fourth District

Service Academy Nominations
Each year, Members of Congress have the privilege of recommending a select group of individuals for admission to the U.S. Service Academies. Competition for the limited number of available appointments is very strong.

Nominees are chosen based on personal merit. Criteria considered include evidence of character, leadership, academic excellence, physical aptitude, and extracurricular activities.

Applicants should be residents of Kentucky’s Fourth Congressional District and between the ages of 17 and 22.

Those interested in applying for admission to one of the U.S. Service Academies listed below should contact my Fort Mitchell office at (859) 426-0080 in the spring of their high school junior year.

The application deadline for the class of 2015 is October 15, 2010.

2010 Academy Day - Saturday, April 17th, 2010

Lloyd High School in Erlanger
10:30 a.m.: Registration opens
11:00 a.m.: Program begins

For more information about the 2010 Academy Day, call (859) 426-0080.

Academy Day highlights the opportunities and benefits of attending a U.S. Service Academy.  Each year, my office hosts Academy Day with the help of representatives from the Air Force, Merchant Marines, Naval, Coast Guard Academies and West Point.

Academy Day provides interested students and their parents with the resources and information they need to determine whether an education at a U.S. Service Academy is the right choice for their future. This is a unique opportunity for students and parents to meet with representatives of the service academies to discuss the application process, academy life, and career opportunities within the various branches of the military.
