As part of an ongoing effort to engage Kentuckians to share their ideas and solutions to address the current economic and fiscal challenges, I held an America Speaking Out town hall at the Main Branch of the Boone County Library on June 28, 2010.
America Speaking Out is an interactive event – think of it as a brainstorming session both in person and online. House Republicans are seeking ideas and input from all Americans to overcome our nation’s largest obstacles.
As I listened to the thoughts and concerns of more than 150 Kentuckians in the library auditorium, their message was loud and clear: there is a major disconnect between the issues debated in Washington and the American people’s priorities.
Below are some of the ideas we discussed:
|
Many Fourth District residents voiced their
support for a balanced budget.
