Congressman Geoff Davis : Serving Kentucky's Fourth District

Information on the New Health Care Law

Last month, H.R. 3590, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), and H.R. 4872, the reconciliation bill, were signed into law.  I am deeply disappointed that this flawed legislation masquerading as reform of our health care system is now law.

While there are some positive elements included in PPACA, they are the wrapping paper around a law that will increase costs, cut Medicare and increase taxes on every American.

However, I have a duty as a U.S. Representative to inform Fourth District constituents about the hundreds of changes included in the bill and how it will impact everyone’s life from children and families to seniors and businesses.  This page will serve as a clearinghouse for information that you can review to determine what PPACA means for you, including implementation timelines; summaries of the new law as well as the full text; and links to press releases, columns, and videos of my speeches on this issue.

If you would like to read more about my views on H.R. 3590, health care reform and Republican proposals to reduce the cost of health care for families, businesses and taxpayers, see below for a list of columns and press releases on the issue and visit my Health Care Issue webpage.
