The Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade, and Consumer Protection will hold a hearing entitled “Do-Not-Track Legislation:  Is Now the Right Time?” on Thursday, December 2, 2010, in 2123 Rayburn House Office Building.  This hearing will examine the feasibility of establishing a mechanism that provides Internet users a simple and universal method to opt-out from having their online activity tracked by data-gathering firms.
