Our Neighborhood

Inyo County is north of San Bernardino County and most well known as the home of Mount Whitney, the highest peak in the lower 48 states; Death Valley, the lowest point in the U.S.; and the Great Basin Bristlecone Pines, the oldest living trees in the world. Thanks to John Muir and other pioneer conservationists, the John Muir Wilderness has remained virtually unchanged for thousands of years. Inyo County has picturesque landscapes and striking beauty that is perfect for sightseeing and photography. If you are the adventurous type, Inyo County can provide a multitude of outdoor activities such as backpacking, horseback riding, fishing, skiing, climbing and biking. This area will offer the full spectrum of adventure while allowing you to admire the peace of the desert, wildflower filled meadows, rushing mountain streams of the forest and wind-whipped granite peaks.
