Meeting Our Water Needs

Water is a precious resource to all of us in the Southwest. We are already planning on using more water from the Colorado River than will actually flow into it, and there are no easy answers to solving our water needs. We must work together and look for real solutions to keep our communities and industries growing with access to water.

The first bill I introduced as a Member of Congress, in collaboration with Senator Kyl, would authorize funding for the Miner Flat Dam and Pipeline, so that communities throughout eastern Arizona can get the sustainable drinking water supply they have been working towards for so long. I am also working on a bill aimed at ending the delays and Washington infighting that have held up the C.C. Cragin Dam project, so that our communities can meet their water needs for years to come without being held up by bureaucratic bickering.

SEE WHAT LOCAL NEWSPAPERS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE CONGRESSWOMAN’S EFFORT TO CUT THROUGH THE RED TAPE AND GUARANTEE OUR WATER SUPPLY.
